' Daruma ' is a Japanese lucky charm. When you buy it, the eyes of the figure are white. After buying it, you can make a wish, paint an eye on the figure and place it in a place you pass by often. If the wish is granted, the second eye is filled.
On a trip around the world, the artist found food packaging with special designs at markets. She turned the most beautiful pieces into illustrations on Pixelmator and printed them using the RISO process. Risography comes from Japan and uses individual layers of color to produce unique pieces similar to screen printing. The prints are all slightly different and numbered on the back.
